Fruhroter Veltliner

The variety probably comes from Lower Austria (according to other opinions from Italy). It is a random hybrid of Gruner Sylvaner and Fruhroter Veltliner. It was entered in the State Book of Varieties in 1952. In the Czech Republic, it is widespread mainly in Moravia (Lower Dunajovice) and in the Bzeniec-Strážnické region, where it forms one of the main varieties.

It is an earlier variety with a lower acid content and therefore it is recommended to harvest in lower attributes. The wine is dark yellow in color with a fruity aroma - elderberry, banana, or almond. The taste is full, extractive with fruity notes.
