Chardonnay

The variety originally from Burgundy was recognized here in 1987. Through genetic analysis, it was found that it was probably created by spontaneous crossing of the Pinot and Heunish varieties.

Currently, Chardonnay is among the fashionable white varieties and undoubtedly produces one of the best white wines in the world. Although it is not the most widespread variety in terms of planted areas of vineyards, it definitely leads in the number of wine-growing regions. In our country, it has been cultivated in mixed plantings with Rulandský white since time immemorial.

The color of the wine is light yellow, greenish-yellow to golden, the aroma is intense, spicy, fruity (apple, yellow melon, pineapple, banana), the taste is full, long-lasting, slightly spicy, with elegant acidity.
